Birchbark Beauties

Birchbark Beauties

The Birchbark Beauties collection is a celebration of heritage, honour, and artistry,...

Indigenous Peoples have long honoured the land through artistic expression. Rooted in these teachings, Manitoba-based Anishinaabe Girl Designs incorporates natural elements—birchbark, quills, furs, metals, and beadwork—into pieces that reflect lived experience, resilience, and cultural continuity.

Anishinaabe Girl Boutique, located in Winnipeg, is an Indigenous- and woman-owned storefront featuring local Indigenous handmade goods including clothing, accessories, food, body care, art, and home décor. More than a shop, it is a space for Indigenous artistry, cultural expression, and connection.

We acknowledge that this space operates on Treaty 1 Territory, on the original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Ininew (Cree), Anisininew (Oji-Cree), Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and on the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation. These lands have been cared for since time immemorial, and we honour their enduring presence.

Shaped by lived experience and the ongoing impacts of colonialism, this space invites visitors to reflect, learn, and engage in reconciliation through action by supporting Indigenous artists, economies, and ways of knowing.
